Sharvon Green on the American Dream

My name is Sharvon Green. For me, the American dream is actually creating equal opportunities for everybody. And as a mom, an African-American female, a business owner, for me, that American dream is so important for me to be able to make certain that my children have equal opportunities as well. And of course, we always want to be able to leave this a lot better than it was before. But I definitely think ownership is a part of that, being able to leave a legacy, for my children and for my children's children, that includes, ownership as well as service to others.
I do believe that it is a more holistic approach that includes equal opportunity and a better quality of life. I do think that you would probably get different answers from different people about what their thoughts are about that. But definitely I think, you know, for me, it is to make certain that, having those opportunities available and kind of leveling the playing field, so to speak, for all Americans so that we can have whatever that is to you or to the next person, whatever that means to you, to just be able to have that opportunity to fulfill that.
