Transcript:
My name is Jordan. I am from Birmingham, Alabama, and I am currently a grad student at Columbia University in New York.
The American dream to me, you know, growing up, I always thought it was the big house with the white fence and the family. But I think as you mentioned, it is becoming more and more about opportunity and opportunity for the next generation. And so the American dream to me is progressing. When I think about the American dream, I think about equity. When I think about the American dream, I think about, prosperity, no matter what your background is. And so the American dream, it can be tackled from a lot of different points, but I think it comes down to respecting the dreams and wishes of all, no matter what they look like. I believe Breonna Taylor believed in the American dream. She wanted like myself, she wanted to help her community. She wanted to be a voice for her community and aid them in any way possible. But the American dream is allowing the Breonna Taylors of the world, a chance to live, to actually see their dreams become reality.
